Wool Threads Snowman
An exercise that is good for fine motor skills with a super fun end result: crafting snowmen! On a colored base of solid paper, 2 circles are glued one above the other. One big circle and one above it that's a little smaller.
Give the children a ball of rope or wool and they can measure, cut and roll up 2 pieces themselves. Start in the middle, then roll out like this.

Miss Sanne from Zeist is teacher in group 3 and 4 and has the children made these snowmen. From black paper, the toddlers can cut/paste a hat and eyes and of course a piece of orange as a carrot nose.

Do the children like to put the wool threads on an existing pattern? Could be too! After drying the wool, they can cut out the parts and paste them on a dark blue sheet. Also nice!
Props of paper or crepe paper are then swirling snowflakes, a strip of white paper is the snow on which the snowman stands. A simple winter craft for the little ones, especially fun because they can do everything themselves!
