World chocolate day... one on 7 July and one on 13 September
The first introduction:
Spanish explorer Hernán Cortés introduced on7 July 1550 for thefirst chocolate in Europe. Cocoa beans were cooked with water, pepper and vanilla, and the drink called Xocoatl was drunk by Aztecs and Maya who lived in Central and South America. Because of the bitter taste of this black gold people in Europe were not so enthusiastic about this product, until sugar was added. The Spanish court was the first to drink this' sweeter 'version of chocolate and in 1615 the chocolate drink was also introduced to the French court. Soon the drink became a luxury product exclusively for the higher population class of Europe. It was only around 1900 that chocolate became the basis of a real folk drink.
Especially dark chocolate is healthy because this delicacy contains more cocoa and the cocoa bean is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber. Research has shown that eating a small amount of dark chocolate daily improves your health. For example, your stress hormone would decrease, your good cholesterol rise, increase your resistance, reduce the risk of heart disease and your bones would also benefit.
It would improve your mood and even improve your libido by the dust of dopamine.
I think there's plenty of reasons to keep enjoying your piece of chocolate...
