World Urbanism Day

#yoorsnovember World Urbanism Day is celebrated every November 8th. Although it seems an insignificant commemoration this day, it is intended to recall actions necessary for the common good such as the increase in parks and recreational areas, the remodeling of some citizen areas, the completion of urban development works, decongestion of overcrowded areas and measures that reduce the pollution of the air and water.
For this, the collaboration of all inhabitants is required; because without the participation of all it is not possible to keep the city clean, orderly, healthy and well cared for, then it is through urbanism that designs are planned that improve the quality of life of people.
It all started in 1934, when the urban planner Engineer Carlos Maria della Paolera, first professor of urban planning in Argentina and former director of the Institute of Urbanism at the University of Buenos Aires, produced the symbol with colors referring to air, vegetation and sun.
In 1949 on the initiative of the same urban planner, World Urbanism Day was created, celebrated by the International Organization for World Urbanism Day, and is celebrated in more than 30 countries on four continents .
