Writing music
Writing music is my passion. It's just as important as breathing. Early in my childhood, I noticed that the lyrics in music are very important to me: it has to take advantage of me. The musical frame is what should appeal to, but the text is what the artist's message is incorporated into. I'll take you on my journey during the writing process.
For twenty years I've been writing texts from a feeling. In it, I address all the subjects that pass my life: love, loss, sadness, fear and victory.Â
Recently I've been working with a producer on recording my second album. He suggested me to see if I can write texts if the arrangement is already made and there is also a vocal line. Challenge Accepted!
Yesterday I received the first assignment and my work was able to start. A number of times I listened to the traffic jam I had received. I wrote down the lyrics that had already been sung as a set-up/melody line, so I had a starting point to work with. Soon I felt what the subject of this particular song should be about and the words ended up on paper. I listened to the track again and sang the new lyrics on it, to see if it all sounded good too. I found it!
I called my producer and read what I had written for. He loved it! In my enthusiasm, I offered him to sing the song for him too — through the phone — so he could get a sense of it. He didn't turn that off. He listened attentively and was impressed.Â
