Yes! Finally succeeded!
On Monday, May 1, 2023, I went to the Chamber of Commerce on Labor Day to officially register my company Children's Workshops Petra.
I've been working to make my company official for a while now, but some things stopped me. Including that I haven't made enough or no profit yet and whether I would be able to get the hang of accounting. But finally, a few weeks ago, I made the decision to do it.
First of all, put a business plan on paper. Which isn't very easy yet. But it succeeded. Then fill out the appointment and online form. Are you still told that you need to be on time for your appointment, otherwise you can make a new one. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30 am.
Babysitters arranged for the dogs. She arrived at 7:45am so plenty of time to drive from Dongen to Breda. And that was true. We drove into the car park before 8:15am so I sat fairly relaxed in the waiting room. At half past nine, the desk clerk came to see if I was present and told her that someone was coming to get me soon. So that was wrong.
More than 10 minutes later, it was my turn. A nice gentleman came to get me. I had the urge to say that I would reschedule the appointment. But I just didn't.
At the table, we went through the form that I had to fill out when making the appointment. Then he asked for my ID and went to the copy room. A few more people were already waiting there when he came back to the table where we were sitting.
He explained a few more things about the tax and then I got to sign. That turned out to be not so easy for me, apparently. On the ID card, my maiden name is in bold and I looked at that. So I signed both papers with my maiden name. The nice gentleman noticed it just too late but said I could put the correct signature, which was under my photo on my ID, under the wrong one. But the signature under the photo was without a curl. And I placed it with a curl.
So the gentleman was able to go back to the copy room to join the back for new papers. So it turns out I was really nervous. But in the end, the correct signature was written on the paper. And were we allowed to take a few more photos.
Then home with my official company folder in my hands and the business plan untouched in my bag.
