Today in the flower parade: the Yellow Walking Iris.
The official name is: Neomarica Longifolia, or Trimezia martinicensis.
The White with blue Walking Iris is more famous than this variant, but it is no less beautiful!

With its smaller yellow flowers, which only bloom half a day (!!) she brightens up your living room for weeks.
In contrast to the Neomarica Gracilis (the blue and white Walking Iris) blooms this flower with several flowers at once on one stem (until now with me July-Sept).
After flowering from the stem grow small new plants, which you can cuttings to form a new plant.

Originally the plant is found in South America and West India, it grows there in the tropics.
In our country, I know him mainly from the butterfly gardens, and as a houseplant.
My father gave me a place a few years ago.

Although the white Walking Iris is very easy to cut, it is a bit trickier: the cuttings have to be in water for several weeks to get carrots.
Once you have a plant, it's not that difficult anymore: a sunny spot, regular water and you will be rewarded with flowers that you like to focus your camera፦)
