The Venus shoe is an Orchid, it is the largest wild Orchid in Europe, that is to say... it almost no longer occurs in the wild, because there is too much poking, and undoubtedly the climate has also affected this.

The Venus shoe is also called Women's shoe, this because of the large protruding “lip”, which you could see as a shoe with a little imagination.

The Venus shoe is my parents' favorite Orchid. I remember that my parents, when I was very young, were totally happy when they started to bloom.
