Yoors Flower Parade, day 51
Today, I'm taking you to my backyard at the Flower Parade.
In a shady spot you will find the Liriope Muskari, or Lily Grass.
In this blog I will talk about Lily Grass, which I think is easier to remember.
Lily grass is a strong perennial, which you, when it does not bloom, could look for grass.
The leaf, as with grass, is elongated, only thicker and greener.
More often, too.
The lily grass is about 40 cm high.
The fine thing about Lily grass is that it stays green in winter, it is therefore very well suited as a ground cover, and it gives color in the winter garden.
Lily grass blooms with purple spikes, reminiscent of blue grape, but the flowers are much smaller.
Lily grass is actually a very easy plant, because you don't have to do anything about it, to still enjoy the flowers.
The plant does it both in the shade and in the sun (in the sun the soil must remain moist).
You do not need to prune it, the plant itself in the spring replaces the arid leaves, the faded flowers fall off on their own.
You can propagate the plant by digging it out and splitting it in half.
Do this preferably in early spring (March/April).
