Yoors Flower Parade, day 58

Today I'm taking you to the garden center in the flower parade.
As I was strolling through the center, I came across a plant that I know, but in a different color, and as a cut flower.
So quickly taken pictures, and on a scavenger hunt.

We are talking about the Celosia Argentea “hot topic”, or Hanekam!
The Cockscomb is a plant that I know as a cut flower, with the frayed flower as shown in this picture.
As a garden plant I know him more with feathers like in the third picture.

The plant in the photo turns out to be a fairly new cultivated variant, especially in this bright pink color.
Where the name comes from seems clear to me, you could put the comb on the head of a rooster.
My partner doesn't like the flowers, they remind her of something completely different (about your fantasy what 😁).

This is an annual plant that blooms from June to October.
I find it a little special that he is now offered in the garden centres, because he is only doing it for a short time.
On the other hand, as my father always says: for a bunch of flowers you spend more, and that only stands for a week...
