Today in the Yoors Flower parade: the banana plant!
The what? A Phlomis, but we always call it our banana plant.

The Phlomis is a perennial plant, which is very happy in our garden: every year there is a little extra.
The plant blooms with several wreaths with banana-shaped flowers, which is why we call it our banana plant.
The flowers are attractive to the bees, and they are there quite long, from June to August.
After flowering you will find seeds in the wreaths, which the birds love.
