Today, I'm taking you to my backyard at the Flower Parade.
In the back we find the Japanese Anemone, or Herstanemone.
This perennial can withstand frost, and loves moist soil, so it feels very at home in our clay.

The Japanese Anemone gets high, up to 1.40 approximately, but then I'm only talking about the flower stems.
The huge leaves remain lower to the ground (up to about 50cm), and the flower stems, with the beautiful flowers on top of that.
The Japanese Anemone blooms from August to October, and is completely gone in winter.

More than 30 species of this plant are known, which propagates through rhizomes, underground.
This means that you put one plant down, and always come to it when your plant is enjoying it.
Be careful that the plants near the Anemones don't get much sun because of the large foliage that the flowers make.

I always find the flowers very beautiful, and soft eyes.
As soon as the buds come, which also look very soft, I look forward to the flowers.
I tried to catch a flower in Epoxie, but I haven't succeeded to date.
