Today at the Flowerparade, foxglove, or Digitalis.
Foxglove is a common biennial plant, which owes its name to the fact that a finger fits into the flower.
I advise you to stick a finger in the flower: foxglove is poisonous, and before you know it, poke a bee or a bumblebee into its derriere...

Although foxglove is toxic, it is also used as a medicine in heart rhythm disturbances.
Of course in the form of a pill, and the dosage was carefully looked at.
When a person has a digitalis poisoning, this person sees blurred, and in severe cases the heart rate can become very slow.
So keep it off!

Foxglove or digitalis comes in many colors.
My favorite is the pink one we once had in the garden (see photo).
At my father I took the picture of the white digitalis (a slender variant).
