Este 4 de febrero se celebraron los 21 aniversario del día mundial contra el cáncer.
Este día nació el 4 de febrero de 2000 en el marco de la cumbre mundial contra el cáncer para el nuevo milenio celebrada en París, promovido por La Organización Mundial de la Salud, el Centro Internacional de Investigaciones sobre el Cáncer (CIIC) y la Unión Internacional contra el Cáncer (UICC) con el objetivo de aumentar la concienciación y movilizar a la sociedad para avanzar en la prevención y control de esta enfermedad.
Todos hemos oído hablar de cáncer, y la mayoría de nosotros, conocemos directamente a personas con esta enfermedad que causa tanto temor. Pero ¿sabemos realmente qué es el cáncer?
El cáncer es una enfermedad que hace que un grupo de células del organismo crezcan de manera anómala e incontrolada dando lugar a un bulto o masa. Esto ocurre en todos los cánceres excepto en la leucemia (cáncer en la sangre). #Yoorsfebruary2021
