As an initiative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), the International Jaguar Day is celebrated every 29 November, the object is to raise awareness in the preservation of this feline. which is the largest in America.
The greatest threat that this feline has faced has been man, the continuous damage to its habitat due to its action as well as indiscriminate hunting has reduced the population of this animal, leading it to the danger of extinction.
The countries that have become aware and are committed to the preservation of this beautiful feline have promoted the Jaguar 2030 Plan, which seeks to promote a Jaguar Corridor, which runs from Mexico to Argentina, and which proposes to establish 30 landscapes as a priority for the conservation of this species.

Como iniciativa del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD), el Fondo Mundial para la Naturaleza (WWF), la Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) se celebra todos los 29 de noviembre el Día Internacional del Jaguar, con el fin de crear conciencia en la preservación de este felino. que es el más grande de América.La mayor amenaza que ha enfrentado este felino ha sido el hombre, el continuo daño a su hábitat por su acción así como la caza indiscriminada ha reducido la población de este animal, llevándolo al peligro de extinción.
Los países comprometidos con la preservación de este hermoso felino han impulsado el Plan Jaguar 2030, que busca fortalecer el llamado Corredor Jaguar, que se extiende desde México hasta Argentina, y que propone asegurar 30 paisajes prioritarios para la conservación de la especie.
