La procesion de la Virgen de Chiquinquira Cada 18 de noviembre nuestra ciudad de Maracaibo se viste de gala para la celebración del dia de la Virgen de Chiquinquira, el 17 se reune la feligrecía en la casa donde mora que es la Basilica de Chiquinquira, a esta festividad es tradicional la llegada de los conjuntos gaiteros para cantar canciones en su honor, mientras se pasea en procesion la tabla con la imagen de la virgen, se vitorea frases en su honor, al llegarse la media noche se adorna el cielo con luce multicolores de los fuegos artificiales, es una festividad regional que ha trascendido nuestro estado, vienen personas de todo el país a rendirle honores a la virgen.
