when you're in a relationship
in which you're ready.

You know it.
when you do a job
that you no longer give satisfaction.

You know it.,
even if you try for yourself
deny this because you are afraid
for the steps you
then have to make.

Prefer to ignore,
give it a spin,
deny your own deepest feelings,
than to get moving.

Prefer to put all your energy
in that which no longer feels right,
than to investigate your fears.

Prefer to tell yourself
that it will be all right,
that there is something wrong with you
and that with hard work
can do something about that.

When you recognize this,
you're feeling caught right now
because I am naming something
which has been bubbled up in you before,
then you know that feeling
will not disappear
until you start making the steps
that your inner knowing indicates to you.

Your ego would like you to stay seated,
But your soul will continue to cry.
