10,000 steps a day, the first time I'd ever heard of it was during one of those trash programs on TV. Biggest loser or some other program. People were given a pedometer and had to reach the 10,000 steps a day.

Most days I get to the 10,000 steps before 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Yesterday with good weather I was already on the 12,000.

But why 10,000 steps? It seems that in a normal life a normal person takes about 6,000 steps a day. Everyone is familiar with half an hour of exercise a day, and if you spend that half hour walking, you get about 4,000 steps. So just living and walking half an hour brings you the 10,000 steps.

Recently I have a smart watch that also keeps track of the steps. So it's relatively easy for me.

It seems to have many health benefits. So count those steps: -).
