A Bike Tour to Vorden: The Hackfort
Our own country is great! I think that everywhere in the Netherlands there is a circle around the place where you live, about 30 kilometers and that within that circle you can find the most amazing places. Currently I cycle about 60 kilometers every weekend. Delicious to be out and to pick up stories on the way. Yesterday, also!
I set the Hackfort as a target, which is about 25 kilometers from my house. But with a nice detour to avoid everything I've seen too often, I've been able to make the whole 60 best. Just a pity that on the way back I got the wind from the front (literally) I still have a bit of it!
The Hackfort is a beautiful old castle. It lies in the woods and you can walk around it, along a newly rebuilt path, nicely around it. Yesterday it was already seen that the path itself has enough beauty. Everywhere flowers were coming out of the ground. So in fact, you always have no idea where to look. Luckily I had the time!
Look, here's one of those beauties.. And of this beauty is a lot to see along that path (yes also other flowers!) There are also plenty of benches and the trees range from old knots to young willows. I really enjoyed it!
