Endangered przewalski horse cloned from 'frozen zoo'

This story is about the Przewalski horse, which has already been called extinct. Again has been reintroduced from a zoo breeding program. And now cloned out of frozen material from the frozen zoo.

Kurt, as the foal is called, was born from an 'ordinary' mare. The genetic material is placed in an egg and inserted into the mare. Kurt will be deployed in the breeding programme in 5 to 10 years. This allows them to increase the genetic variation in the wild herds, as they all descend from 13 animals in zoos from which they were introduced back into the wild.!
