A NEW ANIMATION STYLE - PART 2 - WORKING

In this blog I will show you my digital drawing history from 2012 onwards. Would you like to see my previous work from 2008 to 2012? Check out my previous blog about this, which you can see below. I also have a video at the end of this blog, this time no teaser BUT a compilation! In the video I show my cartoons from 2014 to 2019, this blog continues exactly where I left off, so if you haven't read the previous one yet... I suggest you do that first 😉

After years in Paint and Movie Maker I spent making “fake games” and some “corky” cartoons. I went to a Film Training, this was a course that unfortunately focused on filming and making TV programmes and not on animating. However, this helped me a lot with writing stories for my cartoons. But besides that, I taught myself everything in the new program Adobe Flash, which is now called Adobe Animate. So this is what I did on my movie training from the moment I installed my new Macbook. And after watching some tutorials on how this program works, I finished my first animation video...

STICK FIGURES!

The first animation I made was a small “Stickfigure Fight”. In 2012, I was watching a lot of animations made with Adobe Animate. Much of this I saw that there were Stickfigures used to animate big battles! This was something I wanted to try, mine was a lot simpler but it was a start! In this way I learned the basics of the animation and how to make an animation video piece by piece.

CHRISTMAS ANIMATION!

Approximately in the middle of the school year I was already more familiar in the animation program.
It was almost Christmas too so I decided to make a little animation in which I wish everyone a happy holiday.
This animation I have drawn every frame (picture) manually! This was a lot of work...
For the 4 seconds that the video lasted, I had to draw at least 16 images per second. That's 64 pictures in total!
This took me a lot of work, especially because I didn't know the program well yet... But it was worth it!
