This morning we came across a tree stump during our walk. He stands there somewhere among the other trees and on the edge of the meadow stately showing off.


Then you might think, “He's just standing there, doing nothing. “ But is it? After all, you do not know how deep the roots are. The root canal of some trees is a huge network of cables underground.



It is sometimes said that quiet waters have deep grounds. And that deep roots can give the tree strength, but also make it difficult to release unwanted things.


Both statements also apply to man in a sense. That is what the metaphor might be meant for.
