#politics   #Venezuela On Monday night, January 17, the National Electoral Council (CNE) announced that three requests to initiate proceedings for the eventual activation of a recall referendum against Nicolás Maduro were approved.

The eventual activation of a request for a referendum will require 20% of those registered in the Electoral Registry to express their will, as established in article 72 of the National Constitution, the agency published through its Twitter account.

The CNE added that, having declared the origin of the applications, the National Electoral Board will now have to draw up a schedule for the collection of these wills.



“The groups declare their intention to become promoters of an application for activation of RR, which is the first step in accordance with the provisions of the Rules for Regulating the Promotion and Request for Referendums Revocations of Popular Election Mandates,” commented the electoral body.
The leader urged all Venezuelans “who are convinced that it is possible to recover democracy in the country” to join this request.

“We are moving forward, step by step and firmly to tell Maduro that to revoke it is to love Venezuela,” said Evans


The Venezuelan Movement for the Recall submitted to the National Electoral Council the request to activate the Recall Referendum, and they pledged to collect at least 200,500 rubrics by civil society through political parties.

Once the CNE accepts this step, those involved must locate 1% of the signatures of those registered in the Electoral Registry.

The law provides that an official shall cease his activities when equal or greater number of citizens who chose him pay in favor. There must be a concurrency equal to or greater than 25%.

Finally, the CNE indicated that the approved applications. were received after January 10 and explained that they were promoted by the Venezuelan Movement for the Recall (Mover), All United for the Recall Referendum and the National Executive Committee of Confedejunta, in conjunction with the Committee on National Democracy as an International.
