All critters - part 2: white tiger
They are rather exceptional and threatened with extinction: the white tigers.
They're actually a genetic mix of a Bengal and a Sumatran tiger. While a tiger normally has a rather orange-like coat with black or dark brown stripes, it has an off-white coat with brown-black stripes. The species also has exceptionally blue eyes.
This beautiful specimen can be admired in Pairi Daiza.
Most of the white tigers are found in a zoo these days. There are about 300 copies to be found on our globe.
