National tree of Venezuela decreed on May 29, 1948, Tabebuia crhisantha is its scientific name, of Greek origin which means flower of gold... it is slow growing and about 12 meters high... it is found in the tropophilic forests of Venezuela... its flowers are flared and presented in inflorescences (groups of flowers or corsage)... are of an intense yellow color... the interesting thing about this tree is that it goes unnoticed for months in green color just like any other, but when the flowering period comes to a total yellow... giving a landscape without equal to the viewer.
