Argostoli, capital of the Greek island of Kefalonia.
In the south of the Greek island of Kefalonia lies the colorful capital Argostoli.
The island has a whimsical shape, with many coves and bays.
The capital is accessible by sea by a 690 m long stone bridge. The Drapano Bridge was built across the bay in 1813. It is the longest stone bridge across the sea in the world. Miraculously, the bridge survived the earthquakes that razed the buildings in the city to the ground in the last 70 years.
It's barely 8:30 in the morning when we park the car across the bay and cross the stone bridge to the capital. This can only be done on foot.
