Autumn walk in the Ertbrandbos.
The Ertbrandbos is located in Kapellen, north of Antwerp. Since last year, this 90 hectares of forest area was purchased by Natuurpunt, the Flemish nature association.
This historic forest makes the connection between Putte-Kapellen and Heide-Kalmhout. The Dutch Putte is also nearby.
Rees, tree martens and bats are home here.
On the north side are horse meadows along the forest edge.
Wide beech-driven swap with narrow walking paths.

@Hans Bedankt voor het compliment, maar "Natuurpunt" is wel een privé-initiatief. Als het van de regeringen (vier) moest afhangen dan was alles al vol beton gegoten.

Dat is een mooi stukje natuurgebied. Een winterwandeling door het bos lijkt me ook niet verkeerd.
