Bakery theme: Crafting sandwiches
Theme #Bakker is a fun and versatile theme that you can work around with toddlers and preschoolers. By offering various activities, a theme takes shape and image for children. You stimulate motor skills, social emotional development, arithmetic and language development. The previous blog showed how it works as a Bakker. You can read it back here.
This time we are going to work out part of this theme, which has to do with a sandwich. It is a craft with which we will make various bread combinations with paper. First thing we make is a healthy sandwich and a baked egg sandwich. You can discuss the different parts with the children. You can make both sandwiches or choose one kind.
It's nice which sandwich you're going to do, that you show it in real life. You can then discuss with each other what they see or recognize. And how many tomatoes are on it. And what color is the cheese?
