Als wat ik in mijn handen heb een boek was, zou ik een recensie schrijven. Maar wat ik in mijn handen heb is geen boek, het is iets meer en iets minder, het is een uniek stuk. De auteur, @w .festuccia , definieert het als een „geanimeerd boek”, ik beschouw het als een kostbaar geschenk ontvangen van een vriend. Er is maar één exemplaar van dit boek, want Walter produceert een voor een; het is geschreven, geïllustreerd, geschilderd en gebonden met de hand, het is een set van creativiteit geagglomereerd in hetzelfde artefact. Boek als een object, dus als een artistiek werk niet alleen samengesteld uit geschreven woorden.
De inhoud is slechts een van de vele aspecten, en bestaat uit tien korte verhalen die bloemen als onderwerp hebben: veld, stad, Kerstmis etc.. In werkelijkheid zijn ze voorwendsels om te praten over liefde voor het leven, solidariteit, behoeften, natuur, schoonheid. De personages zijn gewone mensen, populaire figuren die elkaar ontmoeten op straat, op een bankje, op de markt. De taal waarin ze worden uitgedrukt is Romeins, en hierin geeft de auteur zijn beste, vergeleken met de teksten in de nationale taal.
Het boek is „geanimeerd” omdat, zoals de auteur zelf zegt, er binnen de ziel is van de persoon die het heeft geschreven en omdat het een interactie met de lezer veronderstelt, die speciaal voor hem spaties leeg heeft gelaten, waar hij zijn gedachten en indrukken moet opschrijven.
Een tactiel, visueel plezier dat afkomstig is van de kleuren van de omslag, van de tekeningen, van de collages, van het geritsel van papier, van de inkt van de pen, van de bijgevoegde bladwijzers. Kortom, meer dan een verzameling verhalen over bloemen, een echte allround zintuiglijke ervaring.

In these days of celebration I have unplugged, now there are a few days to go until the end of the year, during the holidays I rest a little longer and I will be absent with my mind and body, I have to fill up with energy, the next year I have many projects and things to do and you will accompany me on this path, you know me well enough and know my limits, but I will try to surprise you.
Now to return to handmade books, I can say that making them is fun and a bit tiring, obviously everything that is done by hand is tiring but this type of work also gives a lot of satisfaction, what drives me to do these works is the fact that I am convinced of the value of things done manually, I am convinced that in the future technology will replace manual skills, if on the one hand it is comfortable and it is impossible to prevent progress, on the other hand the human being could forget how to use your hands and your head, what about your imagination? of creativity? of genius? Maybe I'm wrong and I'm too conditioned by science fiction movies, ok, I'll stop here and thank you with a warm hug for mentioning me.
