Busy beach week for our lifeguards from the Ouddorp Rescue Brigade

Busy beach week for our lifeguards.
Last week, due to the nice weather and the number of tourists on Ouddorp beach, was a busy week.
In addition to preventively monitoring the beaches, we took action several times.

Monday:
After our lifeguards' own sighting, we came to the rescue in the event of an accident with a pram to provide first aid. That same afternoon, we straightened out an overturned catamaran and brought a swimmer back to the shore who couldn't get back on his own.

Tuesday:
We were called upon to go to the scene in the event of a first aid case. Here we provided first aid and waited for the ambulance.

Wednesday:
Our lifeguards were the first to be on site during CPR at a port on the Grevelingen.
Thursday:
On this day, we assisted in a search by our colleagues from beach rescue near Scharendijke.
Our water scooters were used during the search to make searches. The person was found in good health.

Saturday:
The day started with a search on the land for a person who had been gone for a long time. After searching both our posts (Brouwersdam and Flaauwe werk), this person was found in good health.
Immediately after this deployment, a report was received of a possibly missing surfer. Together with KNRM Ouddorp, we made a number of searches. After searching for a while, we realized that the surfer may have already been on shore. After we verified this, the search ended. Finally, we provided first aid in the event of a scooter accident at the Brouwersdam.
