Catweazle was a popular English children's series, which was broadcast by the NOS in 1970 and 1971. Catweazle was played by Geoffrey Bayldon (Leeds, January 7, 1924 - May 10, 2017).

Catweazle is an 11th century wizard who ends up in 20th century England due to a failed spell. This creates special and sometimes hilarious situations. He has a path called Touchwood as a pet. Catweazle is strange, it stinks, but he's also very touching. This makes him popular with young viewers.
