Every Christmas year we get Christmas cards from family and acquaintances. Large, small, square, round, hip, weird, nostalgic, modern, beautiful, ugly, funny, crazy, special, cute, sweet, cheerful, serious, cool and vintage cards.

With dots, fake snow, sparkles, bows, ribbons or beads, snowmen, Christmas balls, gifts, wreaths, Santas, penguins, Christmas trees, polar bears, holly, children playing, animals with Christmas hats and reindeer in the snow.

Of course, it gets less every year, because many people don't send anymore. We're a little Christmas card tired. It costs money on cards and stamps, and it takes time. We don't have that much nowadays.

And then when you get cards, you hang them up, or you put them down. During Christmas and New Year's Eve they stand, lie or hang there. But what happens next?

My mother put them in the attic. Year after year. Me, too. The box of Christmas cards became fuller and fuller. But what do we do with it anyway? After some deliberation, I've found a perfect solution. A family member turns Christmas cards into all kinds of decorations. Balls, stars, paintings, dolls, etc. I'd say, go your gang! Here's a full box, but not until I capture it with the camera. A small grip from the box. To share with everyone.
