The first script was written in the year 35 of the last century, after the story written by Charles-Dickens. Perhaps because of the black and white images or the black edge, the darkness that certain people in the film certainly represented at that time. For me it looked more like a misassembled horror movie by nothing more than Category B. This movie has been rewritten regularly from that time to what it is today: A family movie.
A grumpy old man, Ebenezer owns an office where poor people can take out a loan at super high interest rates. First he ran this case with his now deceased (business) partner Jacob Marley. He works against will and thanks, another employee in the case, namely Bob chratchit.
The story begins when two colleagues come by Ebenezer to ask him for a Christmas gift, for the church, for a good cause. While grumbling, he tells them that Christmas does not represent anything and, if so, his family member still alive as last. (Cousin Fred) appears on the scene to invite Ebenezer to Christmas Eve as every year, his mood goes even further afield if possible.
After a cheap evening bite at some eatery, while the other people celebrate Christmas together, Ebenezer comes home alone, to go straight to bed, only from sleeping that night will not end up much.
First of all, the deceased business visits partner Marley, Ebenezer to warn him about the life he lives and the consequences after his death.
But it's not too late for Ebenezer:
Through three Spirits, namely The Spirit of Christmas from the past. The Spirit of the Christmas of the Present and The Spirit of Christmas that is yet to come. Does he take a trip, and then has the option to make a choice. Good-Evil. Dark Light.
