#ciencia     .Did you know that literature has made a great contribution to Psychology, in terms of vocabulary? Yes. Many of the terms that this science in charge of the human mind handles are extracted from literary experiences. You may have heard about the OEDIPUS COMPLEX. This term referring to a specific condition of human behavior, which implies a set of emotions that combine love and hostility, the child's love for his mother, and hostility in the presence of manifestations of love from the father to the mother, comes from the work theater "Oedipus the King". This is the Greek tragedy that tells the story of Oedipus, who does not know, at first, that he has married his mother and murdered his father. Upon learning of this act, he takes his own life. Just as this work had its influence on psychology, many works of Greek and Latin literature have left their names in science and everyday life. Ciencia y literatura. Parte I ¿Sabía que la literatura ha realizado un gran informe a la Psicología, en cuanto a terminología se refiere? Pues sí. Muchos de los términos que maneja esta ciencia encargada de la mente humana, son extraídos de experiencias literarias. Quizá hayan escuchado acerca del COMPLEJO DE EDIPO. Este término referido a una condición específica de la conducta humana, que implica un conjunto de emociones que combinan amor y hostilidad, amor del niño hacia su madre, y hostilidad ante la presencia de manifestaciones de amor del padre a la madre, proviene de la Obra “Edipo Rey”. Esta es la tragedia griega que narra la historia de Edipo, quien desconoce, en un principio, que se ha casado con su madre y asesinado a su padre. Al enterarse de este acto, se quita la vida. Así como esta obra, tuvo su influencia en la psicología, muchas obras de la literatura griega y latina han dejado sus nombres en la ciencia y la vida cotidiana. Después, comentaremos otro tèrmino.
