Coding with colors - This is Owl

The picture book This is Owl is a super fun interactive flutter, tap and flip book by Libby Walden/Veltman Publishers. You know Owl already? - No? Then may I introduce you... This is Owl! Below you will find coding cards of Dit is Owl.

You know how to code? Count the boxes, and color it to boxes in a row, as indicated. So e.g. color first 3 boxes yellow, then 1 box black, and then 3 boxes brown. So you go off every line, and if you've done it right, you'll see a nice image appear. In this case, you see Owl, Other Owl and the Owl Chick, as in the book This is Owl.

Did the coding work? Od you still find that too hard? Then you can do it the other way around, with the second sheet. There you can write down your encoding yourself. Count the boxes with color and write the numbers and colors in the left column. Creative and educational in one way!
