We are now seeing a change in seeing each other in difficult times. The Coronavirus has something positive in it. Rules are discarded, people have to work at home as much as possible, and the family is put back to the centre. Something I hope people will not forget when these crises are over.

On the other hand, this gives a great sense of responsibility to not forget the elderly and the lonely and, as soon as it is responsible, to visit them and offer opportunities to (again) meet each other. It is now of the utmost importance to think about how we are going to implement this new reality and to ensure that it is connected, now and after.

We live in exciting times, but at the same time feel strongly connected with the people around us. My phone rings regularly one day, from people who want to know how things are going here, from others who just missed my call and then call back. People from far away, but also closer.

We notice the loneliness in different people. We notice the grief for the lack of 'just coming in. ' Not just being able to drink coffee together. We 'catch it' by sharing all kinds of funny images with some humour through the world wide web.

I have a lot of contact with some people via whatsapp. I can't even count the flow of messages on some of them anymore. Loneliness is so open and bare on the world wide web. We're trying to make the best of it.
