Crafting Walrus and Musk Ox with Popsicle Sticks
Various animals live in the North Pole. Not only polar bears, seals, elephant seals, arctic foxes, whales and reindeer, but also the walrus and musk ox. We are going to do some fun crafting today, just from some wooden popsicle sticks!
The Walrus
Of course, we all recognize the walrus, with its large tusks, small head, thick skin and its short bristle-like whiskers. Both male and female have tusks, but in the male they are usually longer, straighter and firmer. The walrus moves on by sticking its tusks into the ice. He also has flippers and with that he also gets ahead. It is a predator, which always lives in groups and that usually stays in the water or on floating ice floes, because they find their food there. So they eat fish, but also mussels, snails, sea cucumbers, lobsters, etc. Mmmm. yummy!

The musk ox
The musk ox is a lesser known animal. The musk ox can be recognized by its long-haired dark brown coat, wide head and downward curling horns. The musk ox is a herbivore (a herbivore) and can survive very well in the cold! Unfortunately, as the North Pole is getting warmer, it is increasingly difficult for this mammal to find food. When it rains instead of snowing, the wet plants are no longer edible after they freeze again. For example, more and more musk oxen are disappearing due to the warming. Of course, that's terrible!
