Crafts with crepe paper

For years and years it has been the craft material for toddlers and preschoolers, but also for older children and even adults crafts with it:crepe-paper!
The thin colored paper costs very little, is almost transparent and you can easily tear and crumple it. It is widely used for all kinds of decorations, party hats, garlands, bows, a wreath, a piet collar, and more diverse craft and sticky works.
When the crepe paper gets wet, the dyes run out of the paper. Some crepe paper in a little water and you have your own watercolor! You can even color your hair with it.
Pay attention, because the disadvantage of crepe paper is that it is quickly flammable. And a crafts made of crepe paper is not durable: the colors appear in sunlight. Store crafts in a plastic case, e.g. in a multi-folder.
Still, I found 1 crepe-paper crafts from my own childhood, which still looks pretty neat, only a little squashed, though. Here you see my crepe paper duckling from... 1974!
Zelfs op werk met ouderen wel eens crepe papier gebruikt om iets te maken. Bleek dat het propjes maken ermee een goede zet was....iedereen deed mee.
