Curacao “because The Colorful House”

#curacao Curacao is not a Portuguese island, nor French, but Dutch. For 150 years, this country belonged to Spain and since 1815 became a Dutch colony. It is located in South America and is a transcontinental island located in the south of the Caribbean Sea and very close to Venezuela.
This island paradise, is an explosion of colors and almost impossible crossbreeding.
Why are your houses so colorful?
For the “Curazoleños", the color of the houses goes beyond a simple urban aesthetic and is due to an event at least extravagant. Under a law enacted in 1817 by the then Dutch governor of Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire, Albert Kikkert, houses could not be painted white, because the sunshine caused headaches and blindness.
The facades of willemstad are one of the best known attractions on this island. The colors CELESTE, ORANGE, GREEN and PASTEL PINK are the most common.
Their particular style made them receive the title World Heritage by UNESCO.
Under the scorching sun is beautiful island is divided into two sections Punda and Otrobanda, connected by the bridge of La Reyna Emma that crosses the Bay of Santa Ana.
In the center of the country the Architecture stands out upon arrival, sloping ceilings, becomes a mandatory stop, for anyone visiting it.
Curacao a beautiful country, which with its colorful houses is the unique attraction of the island ❤️
