Impressive tree with a name that reminds of a fairy tale. Dragon tree. So it's because of the sap that seeps out when damaged. Nice that you were able to see this super old tree with your own eyes. The photos you took were very successful.
Impressive, such an old tree. If he could talk, he had a lot to say.
He now lives on in a quiet place.
wow what a beautiful tree. I've never heard of it. I'm glad I can get acquainted now. And especially the top row on the left photo, I really love that.
Sometimes a beech, linden or oak also manages to grow very old. But unfortunately, those trees are cut down over time because they stand in the way or because of the wood.
@Leo 1 It can also be done differently. For this, a new road was specially built through the village, so that heavy traffic does not have to pass close to it, otherwise it would suffer too many heavy vibrations.
The Dracaena draco is rare and, like most life on Earth, is threatened with extinction. The oldest tree is the Jamon and has been growing on a Japanese island for 5000 years.
@Rudy Siedlecki 🌳 Thanks for the addition. As a tree expert, this is probably your thing !
Is that a different variant in Japan than ? Because here they claim that this is the oldest.
@enigma No, in Japan, it's a “Jōmon Sugi” cypress. So no “Dragon Blood Tree” which, by the way, is different from the “Dragon Tree” =Dracaena cinnabari.
Beautiful, such an ancient tree. What would he have to say if he could speak? ? Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes apparently survived, and many adaptations and peoples
I think this is so amazing! I never heard of a thousand year old tree. Never even seen one. It is so absolutely breathtaking. What an emotion to see it in person! And we get very good photos, so we can enjoy it from a distance. Very interesting ❤️
