Karate Kid... a movie from the '80s
It's been decades. But the attention of @1960 -1980 and others for their memories is inspiring.
Back then, on video, I owned the films of Karate Kid. I watched them regularly with pleasure. It's about Daniel, who's being bullied. To defend himself, he takes karate class. And those are lessons for life.
Preparation for a major tournament is very different than he expected. He has to do exercises that have nothing to do with karate. But in the end it is an excellent training in mental resilience. Something he will reap wonderful fruits from.
He's severely injured on one leg at the end of the finals. His aspirations for the title seem to be gone. But then he turns around his axis and floats his opponent. A majestic victory is a fact! Daniel IS Karate Kid Number 1!
