Elderly: the scum of our society?
Yesterday I looked at Zembla. I am so shocked! The comparison with the broadcast of Max, earlier in the beginning of the evening had struck me quite a bit. The people of Moldova have it bad, very bad. But now I also saw how our government deals with our own elders. The difference between Moldova and the Netherlands is really not that big! Knowing that many people are afraid and alone, here and in Moldova, that they do not get the help they deserve, makes me ashamed! I am ashamed of our country, because if things are going so well in our economy, why do these terrible, degrading cases still occur?
Of course you do not open a look of carers, of course there are no housing forms that you can just stomp out of the ground, but how long has this been going on? How long has our health minister been trying to give people a picture that he's been working very hard to solve this?
