Beef from the oven on its Italian

A delicious piece of beef, with various vegetables from the oven. Pretty simple to prepare and most of the ingredients come from Italian cuisine. It takes time to make this dish, only most of the time is to wait until it is ready.


  • Olive oil
  • 600 grams of beef
  • Mushrooms
  • Zucchini
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 large red onion
  • Herbs: 3 bay leaves, garlic powder, rosemary, oregano, salt and pepper


Method of preparation

In a dish, make the marinade with olive oil, garlic powder, rosemary, oregano, pepper and a small pinch of salt if you wish. Stir well and grease the piece of meat with the marinade. Leave this for at least 2 hours in the fridge, only when you do this in the morning it is better.

When the marinade is withdrawn, remove the meat from the refrigerator so that the meat can slowly reach room temperature. Meanwhile, wash the mushrooms, zucchini and cherry tomatoes, which you can dry on paper towels. Meanwhile, cut the red onion into half rings, the zucchini into small cubes and the 2 cloves of garlic as finely as possible or use a garlic press.

Then you can lubricate the roasting pan or baking dish with the remaining olive oil, so that it is ready for use and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

When the vegetable is cut, fry the meat on both sides brown in a frying pan. When the meat is browned on both sides, remove the meat from the pan and place it in the casserole with the vegetable and finely chopped garlic around it. Add the laurel leaves and sprinkle over the vegetable a little bit of rosemary and the moisture of the roast meat over it in combination with a dash of white wine or water. Put this in the oven for about 1.30 to 2 hours, check in between if there is enough moisture and that the meat is well cooked.

When the meat is ready, remove it from the oven and let it rest for another 5 minutes, before cutting it into slices. The dish is delicious in combination with rice, risotto or tagliatelle.
