Even for this delicious Italian dish I use my tajine but you can also prepare it in a deep pan.
We need this...
500 g minced meat 1 egg Breadcrumbs Parmesan cheese Basil Black pepper 2 cans of tomato cubes 1 can of tomato paste Herbal butter and/or olive oil Grated cheese Pasta (I used penne, but farfalle or spirelli is also nice) Water
Put the minced meat, the egg, a little parmesan, some basil and a little pepper in a deep dish... Mix everything well with a fork... Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, the whole should not be too sticky, but certainly not too dry... Pour a little oil into the tagine and let a little bit of herb butter melt in here... Form balls from the minced meat and arrange them in the tagine... Lightly light before we add the moisture. Meanwhile, cook the pasta until tender in a spacious saucepan with water.
When the meatballs get some color, you can roll them over so that the other sides are also fried... Then add the tomato cubes and let it boil for a while... Pour the pasta when it's ready and set aside for a moment... A little herb butter or olive oil ensures that the pasta does not stick together...
Once the sauce has cooked for a while, reduce the heat and mix the tomato paste... Add some basil to flavor the sauce.
Put the pasta with the meatballs in tomato sauce and mix well... Finally, sprinkle the grated cheese on top and let it melt by putting the lid on the tagine. Remove the pan from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
