Sannie's Pulled Beef from the slow cooker

Supplies (for 8 people)

(We eat it 1 day with vegetables and fries or (garlic) potatoes and 1 day on a sandwich and you can also make Sannie's beef salad out of it)

2 kilos of beef rags (Irish) (I had lean and normal mixed up and it really wasn't dry!)
2 onions (small shredded)
5 cloves of garlic (crushed and chopped small)
1 small can of tomato paste (Heinz)
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
8 tablespoons ketjap manis (sweet)
4 tablespoons black soy sauce (salt)
2 tablespoons ginger syrup
1 tablespoon sambal oelek
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Chinese 5 herbal powder
1 dessert spoon of coriander powder
2 small Maggi cubes (crumbled)
2 tablespoons Greensweet Stevia Brown (or brown sugar)
flour (to sprinkle the meat)
salt and pepper (to season the meat, to taste)
splash of liquid butter or oil
150 ml water

Method of preparation:

Sprinkle the ribs with salt and pepper and sprinkle with flour.

Heat the liquid butter or oil in a pan and sear the meat around. Put the meat in the slow cooker.

In the same pan, fry the onion with the garlic until transparent and add the tomato paste and Greensweet Stevia Brown (or brown sugar).

Stir-fry this 2 to 3 minutes.

Add this to the meat in the slow cooker along with all the other ingredients.

Set the slow cooker to low for 9 hours.

After 8 hours, remove the meat and half of the gravy (I freeze it for when I need yummy gravy) and pull the meat apart with 2 forks.

Put the meat back into the pan and let it stand low for the last hour with the lid off or half on the pan.
