Father's Day potholders inspired by Keith Haring
Today I take you to a creative impulse around Father's Day. A lot is made and made for all fathers- bonus fathers and caregivers . It seemed fun and inspiring at the same time to link this to a piece of art influence.
Me appealed to artwork of Keith Haring . Keith Haring lived from 4-5-1958 to 9-2-1990. He was an American artist. His father also drew and mainly made comic books. This was an important source of inspiration for Keith. His works of art are mainly modern art. This art movement is also called graffiti art or pop art. Keith drew mostly abstract figures both humans and animals. Here he used all kinds of colors for.
The technique can be called different. They are dolls that can look very simple. Sometimes they have a hole eg. connected in their bodies. The figures often have thick black lines and the colors are very striking. Also, you see few details. Through dashes in the drawing he creates movement!
His influences are based on influences in the 80s. Think eg. to apartheid, AIDS, drugs.
