Quack! Do you have the theme Frogs at school, club, shelter or association? Then fold funny frogs from colored paper! Take a look below how funny it will be, if there are several frogs decorating it locally! You can make them from 1 green paper, which you fold into 16 squares and then cut, or you take 2 round folding leaves! With a cork and a cotton swab, stamp frog roll. So nice, how each frog is so different!
Every year, Miss Ester Clover has a fun and informative themed table about frogs, including these fun frog crafts!
Miss Ester Clover tells:
- Group 1 : Take 2 green round paper folding leaves. Use the dark green all the way for the body. The other you fold in half and cut in half. Half you use for the head, the other half fold into quarters and that's the arms and feet. For the legs use a green paper braid strip. You first cut them in half and then fold them both 4 times in double.
- Group 2: Fold 16 squares of 1 green folding carton or folding sheet and cut the squares. Fold 6 of the squares in half and cut them on the fold through. Then you paste the squares and triangles, like the example.
- Frog dril: Stamp frog roll with silver paint and a cork, then dot the black dots with paint on a cotton stick.
Juf Ester Klaver is a kindergarten teacher at a school in Hollandsche Rading, is a mother of two children and she sent these fun frog tips and pictures in. If you want more themed tips for toddlers, take a look at her Instagram account !
Frog dril: Of course, it is also very nice if you also have real frog dril in the classroom. Usually you do have a ditch nearby, where you can find it. But you could even look at Marketplace, there it is often offered free of charge by people who have it in the garden and do not want hundreds of frogs in their pond.
Right: To make the theme extra fun, Miss Ester also made storytelling stones herself, to make the metamorphosis from dril to frog visible.. The images are simply pasted with decoupa glue on the stones (the pictures have found them on the internet) and the stones can also be used with decoupa glue (eg. from Décopatch or Collall) finish, so that they remain beautiful. You can use the stones every year!
