Four years of Yoors.
It's been almost four years since I came to Yoors more or less by chance. I've been writing blogs for a long time, which I usually just put on Facebook. The disadvantage was that they quickly disappeared into the background and were often with no possibility to be found anymore. I didn't care about the earnings model then, and actually I still don't. Initially, I also received a lot of comments and there were people who warned others that I 'wrote just to get better. ' Meanwhile, there are so many sites with revenue models that no one seems to worry about it anymore.
When I look at the number of hours I have put in all these posts, there is no question of earning. I've never paid anything out, and that won't make Yoors rich either. The counter stands at just over forty seventy euros. That could have been a bit more because I also gave something away with some regularity. In the beginning I followed the statistics with argus eyes and was in a hoera-mood when I had reached another milestone. I quickly discovered that series of articles around a particular topic resulted in a regular club of loyal readers. Some posts from the start time are still read from time to time. After half the world got home thanks to corona, I suddenly got views on my series about mandela drawing again. After Yoors went internationally, at the bottom of the statistics suddenly appeared views with titles in foreign languages where I often had to guess which post it was.
My absolute topper is an article about photo contests and Gurushots that is in the list with 2688 at lonely height. Another article from my early days about the removal of dog and cat hair rises regularly in the list. For example, there are still a few that have been viewed regularly over the past 4 years. But that's it, then. The rest is largely between 50 and 100.
The most fun I like is the interaction with the readers who are completely different here than for example on Facebook. When people disagree with you, they really let you know, but it is very seldom lost at each other. People show interest in each other fun and less fun experiences and there are groups of loyal readers and responders. So for now I just keep putting something on Yoors every now and then. Just for fun and fun contacts.
