Fragrant winter bloomers
The Arboretum of Kalmthout are now full of fragrant and colourful winter bloomers.
And since one image says more than a thousand words, I'll let the images speak.
But to perceive the subtle sweet scents a visit on site is recommended.

The top pictures are Hamamelisen, the two right above are of the Chimonanthus preacox and the next of a winterflowering Prunus (formed as bonsai).

Nice images too. (Beautiful park, hey ?) I didn't actually perceive the scents. However, I started snooping a few times.
@enigma That depends on the weather. Warm after a frost and windless. It is their only means to attract the rare winter insects and they are economical on that.
