When reading the children's book Caterpillar Never ( Eric Carle / Gottmer publishers ) it is super fun to have a real caterpillar with it. Or if you give the book as a gift (e.g. as a maternity gift), it's a nice idea to add a crocheted caterpillar!
Kyra hooked this caterpillar and sent this photo in. She also hooks to order, so below you can find her Instagram account:
But that's not all. The fun thing is that you can crochet the caterpillar yourself, with the FREE crochet pattern! You can find the crochet pattern on the blog of Miriam van Schijndel, her blog is calledBirdie Crochet
Miriam finished with it, he's really easy to make. A bit more difficult is the iron wire that she has incorporated into it, which is literally from head to tail. On both sides it is fixed, creating the wrinkled bodice. In addition, it can be bent into any desired model.

Tip: Instead of the wire you can sew the caterpillar onto a teether, or make it a rattle., the caterpillar in its winding shape sewn onto a teether... with the book and a rattle caterpillar given as a baby gift.
