After yesterday the Philips airfryer xl was delivered at home, I could not resist testing it in the evening. . . Luckily I still had vegetarian spinach burgers in the freezer so I could get started right away. After 12 minutes they were ready and how delicious they were. . . I'm already a fan of these burgers (of the cauliflower burgers even more) but now they tasted even better. . .

My very first experience with the airfryer can certainly be called a success.

Today we tried fresh fries. . . because I still have to learn how to work with this hot air fryer I follow the included booklet.

Starting with the potatoes. . .

6 large potatoes. . . peel and cut into fries. . .

Put the fries in cold water for at least half an hour. . .

Then pat dry very well and put them in the basket of the airfryer. . .

Leave to 'dry' at 120ΒΊC for 10 minutes. . .

Remove the fries from the airfryer and let it cool down a little bit in a bowl. . . then mix with 1 tablespoon of oil so that they all shine nicely. . .

Back in the airfryer and bake them at 180ΒΊC for 15 minutes, shake them over and bake for another 10 minutes at the same 180ΒΊC according to the booklet. . .

Well. . . So next time we'll do it differently because the fries were dark brown and some fries were still not cooked. . . They weren't really crispy either, so next time we're going to use a different method. . .
